The iS Clinical Prodigy Peel collection includes powerful facials for enhancing skin health. At My Med Spa, we offer both the iS Clinical Prodigy Peel System P2 and Prodigy Peel System P3 to give patients the best possible results. We welcome patients from Frisco, Lewisville, Allen and the surrounding areas of Dallas, Texas.

What is the iS Clinical Prodigy Peel?

The iS Clinical Prodigy Peel system offers two chemical peel solutions to enhance skin health. At My Med Spa, we offer both the Prodigy Peel P2 System and the Prodigy Peel P3 System. Both treatments combine resorcinol, lactic acid, salicylic acid, and citric acid. Additionally, each formula includes a “booster”, which is an advanced form of salicylic acid that provides greater results compared to other chemical peel treatments.

What is the Difference Between the Prodigy Peels P2 and P3?

Prodigy Peel P2 System

The Prodigy Peel P2 System is a more superficial chemical peel. It is intended to smooth and rejuvenate the skin. It is best used for mild to moderate signs of aging, acne and pigmentation concerns.

Prodigy Peel P3 System

The Prodigy Peel P3 System is a deeper chemical peel than the P2 system. It is designed to resurface and brighten the skin. It is best used for skin laxity, uneven skin texture and moderate to severe signs of aging, acne and hyperpigmentation concerns.

What is the Prodigy Peel Treatment Like?

As with most chemical peels, the Prodigy Peel treatments begin with cleansing the skin and applying the chemical peel solution. Once applied, it will rest on the skin for the duration of the treatment. You may feel a warm or tingling sensation during this time as the ingredients work to exfoliate the outer layers of skin. The exact duration of treatment will vary depending on the Prodigy Peel being performed, with most treatments being completed in under an hour.

Is There Any Downtime After a Prodigy Peel?

The Prodigy Peel P2 System will have slightly less downtime than the Prodigy Peel P3 System. This is because the P2 system is a more superficial peel that causes less irritation to the skin. In both cases, patients can expect mild redness or sensitivity in the skin. In the days following treatment, the skin may crust or flake off - this is a natural part of the recovery process! Once the outer layers of skin are removed, the underlying layers will become visible, revealing brighter, healthier skin. With this in mind, patients may need to adjust their skincare routines in the days following treatment, with an emphasis on using sunscreen and avoiding excessive sunlight while the skin is healing. However, patients are able to resume most of their daily activities within just a few days of treatment.

When Will I Notice Results from the Prodigy Peel?

The results from your Prodigy Peel treatment will become visible after the skin heals, and may continue to improve for a few weeks following treatment. However, keep in mind that we may recommend multiple treatment sessions for optimal results. The Prodigy Peel P2 System is often performed in multiple treatment sessions. On the other hand, many patients achieve significant results within 1 treatment session of the Prodigy Peel P3 System. Depending on your treatment goals, we may recommend additional treatment sessions for continued benefits.

How Much Does a Prodigy Peel Cost?

The cost of your Prodigy Peel treatments will vary depending on the type of chemical peel you choose to receive, and the extent of treatment needed to help you achieve your desired results. To get a more accurate estimate of how much your Prodigy Peel treatment will cost, we encourage you to come in for a complimentary consultation with one of our licensed medical professionals.
